Early in the year, Firewatch immersed me in one of my absolute favorite stories of the year in the American wilderness, while Far Cry Primal took me back to a more brutal time period. In the spring and summer, DOOM brought me into a roaring rendition of Hell that I will never forget, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End concluded an epic adventure that came once in a generation. For the fall and early winter, Gears of War 4 brought high-octane action, Dishonored 2 gave me contemplative stealth action, and Watch Dogs 2 provided __ open-world action in a vast, colorful setting of San Franci

While the game does lack single-player offerings when it comes down to a campaign or story mode...I'm not entirely sure that Overwatch even needs it. That may be an unpopular opinion in the day of age of multiplayer-only games, yet I've gotten far more out of the game's universe and world-building from simply click the up coming website playing the game rather than going through a single-player campaign or experience that may have distracted from the game's excellent multiplayer experience and characters, if it had

Battlefield has become one of the most popular shooter franchises. Every game in the series works well, but its best entry is definitely Bad Company 2 . With fluid mechanics and a variety of weapons and vehicles, Bad Company 2 excels at all the traditional features of shoot

As Blizzard's first foray into a first-person shooter -- and built from the remains of its long-gestating MMORPG Project Titan -- Overwatch is both classically "Blizzard" and yet an entirely new and fresh experience from the company's previous franchises: especially as the first company's first new franchise since StarCraft debuted in 1998. With that kind of history and development behind it, Overwatch is as much a title that honors the numerous games and genres that influenced it, while forging ahead a path as one of the most exciting and fresh multiplayer titles I've played in quite some time. Coming from the house that built games like Warcraft , Diablo , and StarCraft this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, though (in my eyes) Overwatch 's key attribute comes down to one thing: accessibil

With Diablo 2 having been released all the way back in 2000, action RPG fans had been waiting for Diablo 3 with feverish excitement. So it was of little surprise that when the game released in 2012, it set a new record for the fastest selling PC game ever, with over 3.5 million copies sold in 24 hours. It was just a shame that only a small number could actually play

Ubisoft did eventually fix the game with a couple of patches and the publisher also offered free DLC. However, given that one of these patches actually broke the game even more on Xbox One and accepting the free DLC meant that players waived their right to take the company to court, not everyone was best pleased by their effo

And that's it. A new trailer was also released to celebrate Sombra's launch -- you can check it out be

I don't think there was ever any hesitancy, but there was a realization that this is freaking terrifying. Because it's not just important to us, right? Being in the COD family it really means a lot, but dude I remember skipping school for this game. So it's one of those things that it means a whole lot to be playing that game and it means a whole lot be able to bring that to the fans and trying to figure out 'what's the most important thing to me as a gamer,' and 'what's going to resonate with the community,' because there's actually a really healthy community out there. Like 20,000 people still playing on Steam pretty regularly. It's crazy, but dude they love it. If you haven't played some of their mod severs they're friendly, it's fun to play, but they're really really engaged. The Steam forums will let you know that. It is a daunting task and it has been. I would probably say regularly it was like 'okay is going to make a fan pissed off?' I think we got out in front of that really early with that 'don't f*ck with the gameplay,' as our number one tenet, and that coincides with Raven's mantra of gameplay first. So our entire team already had that mentality of we're not going to mess with what the designers say is important. We were pushing for you keep the timing the same, you keep the feel, you keep the spacial design/the level design cannot not change, but we can add personality and we can add character to it.
