The best individual laner in the world, Chovy takes any and every opponent to his lane kingdom. He averages 13.5 CS over enemy mid laners at 15 minutes, the highest amongst all qualified mid laners. DRX depends on Chovy, sometimes overly so, to dominate the lane early in order to gain advantages on other parts of the map. Luckily, he delivers. Chovy single-handedly carried an inconsistent and underperforming DRX roster to the LCK finals and, subsequently, Worlds qualification. May the church of Chovy bless the r
His passive grants enough shielding that other mid-laners can struggle to get a takedown on him. Yasuo also isn’t as limited as Yi, having impressive crowd control for a variety of situations and working well in nearly any starting l
In the same matchup against Rouge, Mad Lions purposely let through Varus, who has essentially been a global perma-ban in League of Legends as of late. Mad Lions then immediately locked in Senna and Wukong as their bot lane. They smashed the Varus-led Rouge, with Matyáš "Carrzy" Orság going 2/1/7 on Senna and Norman "Kaiser" Kaiser going 3/0/6 on Wuk
Sett, another popular champion for the pros, can go anywhere from top lane to mid lane to the jungle. His versatility gets him banned in between 11% and 49% of games depending on tier. He's also one of the newer champions on this l
One of the few supports to make the list, BeryL finds himself firmly in the top 20. Competing in the bot lane with AD Carry Jang "Ghost" Yong-jun, BeryL has been a rock for Ghost and their teammates, being the catalyst for a lot of the success DAMWON as a team have found in the League of Legends Champions Ko
Like Galio, Volibear’s visual update seemed like a bit of a step back for veteran players. After all, Volibear’s appearance aged much better for a champion that released in 2011 even when compared to the more streamlined art style Riot opted for regarding new champions and the updated
The 24-year-old stands strongly as the number one support in the world. With the ability to play a mix of tank supports, playmaking supports as well as enchanters, LvMao has made a name for himself as a playmaker in a meta that doesn’t provide much wiggle room for supports. The JD Gaming support won 9 of his eleven games on Bard during Summer, averaging eleven assists per cont
This was a very controversial rework in the LoL community. Though he has seen a great deal of competitive play in this year’s LCS, LCK, and LEC , the fun factor of playing him has dropped sharply. His new appearance, for starters, is quite underwhelming. He is white and gold just like a character from the abandoned MOBA game patch Notes Paragon who, curiously, has a similar ultimate to the reworked Galio
They wanted to take everything, and they ended up getting nothing, as the remaining Excel members jumped onto the three Misfits players in the mid lane and forced everyone else away from their objectives. Misfits has the potential to be a top tier team, but they're just not at that level
As one of the most talented bot laners in the game, LokeN returned to his home of JD Gaming after a short stint with Top Esports. In his first split back, LokeN and his teammates defeated the very same Top Esports in China’s League of Legends Pro League Spring Finals, winning JD Gaming their first title as an organization. Paired with support Zuo "LvMao" Ming-Hao, JD Gaming’s strong bot lane makes them one of the favorites to win it all in 2
The key to winning Nexus Blitz is to focus on winning the events as they happen and then using the benefits to push the objectives in-between events. The mini-game events are team-based, except for in the Prize Fight event where 1v1 battles take place, so work together with your team to succeed. Veteran players will be glad to see old mini-games returning such as King of the Hill, where the two teams vie for control over a small designated zone on the map and Push the Cart, an event where teams must escort a cart to a structure by standing near it. Some of the less self-explanatory events include Bardle Royal, URF Deathmatch, Loot Teemo, Loot Veigar, Scuttle Racing, Protect the Soraka, and DPS Ch
Blitzcrank is far from an unusual ban target, and there are certainly tons of strategies against him as he’s been in the game since the very beginning. But just because something’s old doesn’t mean it can’t still work, and Blitzcrank is far from being sent to the scrapyard anytime s
Canyon spent the summer split proving that he is the best Jungler in Korea. His flexibility opens DAMWON's drafts and playstyles, preventing the team from being predictable. Mechanically, he can go toe to toe with the best. Canyon’s ability to both enable Showmaker and Nuguri while also inhibiting enemy junglers led Damwon to dominate the summer split, and potentially the international st
